Brian, an Asheville, NC native, has 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Ball Dermpath, he was the Southeast Director of Managed Care for one of the largest independent pathology laboratories in the U.S.. Brian is a graduate from Appalachian State University with a B.S.B.A. degree in Healthcare Management, and is an active member in MGMA and NCMGM.

Kathy Hart

Kathy Hart, HT (ASCP)
Histology manager

Kathy began working in Histology in 1980, under the renowned dermatopathologist Dr. Herbert Lund. Starting as a histotech in training, she worked her way up through the ranks to become the lab manager of a large regional histology laboratory.  She was thrilled to join Ball Dermpath at it’s inception, where the focus remains on the best practices of medicine. As was ingrained in her by Dr. Lund, Kathy has always emphasized to her employees that the patient is first in everything we do.

Jason Coleman

Jason Coleman, HT (ASCP)
Director of Client Services

Jason grew up on a farm in Huntington, MD and fell in love with Greensboro while attending UNCG. After graduation, he started his career in dermatopathology as a histotech and Mohs technician and knew he’d found his passion. He was thrilled to be asked to join Ball Dermpath’s client services team in 2013, where he has been able to combine his knowledge of histology and his outstanding commitment to clinicians and patients.
